Depending on your use of the site, we may collect: name, email address, phone number, searched destination, travel dates, number of travellers, booking information and navigation data (pages viewed, language, device). This data is collected only when voluntarily provided by the user in the context of a request or booking.

Some data is provided voluntarily via our forms, phone or email. Other data is collected automatically for technical and statistical purposes.

We process your data on the following bases: performance of a contract (request, booking, confirmation, invoicing); legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, service improvement); legal obligation (accounting and tax retention); consent (analytics / marketing cookies when requested via the banner).

Your data is used to: process your requests, search for suitable offers, prepare or follow up a booking, improve the service, ensure site security and communicate with you when necessary.

Booking and invoicing data: kept for the duration of the commercial relationship and then for applicable legal retention periods (including accounting obligations, typically up to 6–7 years depending on applicable law).

Contact / enquiry data without a booking: up to 24 months after the last exchange, unless a longer retention is required.

Technical security logs: limited duration proportionate to the security purpose.

Beyond that, data is deleted or anonymised, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it or proof of a transaction is required.

Litchi Travel does not sell your personal data to third parties.

Some data may be shared with providers strictly necessary for our operations (Vercel hosting, hotel / distribution suppliers, Stripe and payment providers, transactional email tools, analytics tools after consent), in compliance with regulations and confidentiality agreements.

Some providers may process data outside the United Kingdom or the EEA (for example cloud hosting or tools). Where applicable, appropriate safeguards are put in place (standard contractual clauses / equivalent measures) in line with the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and, where applicable, data portability.

You may withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time (new choice via the banner or by clearing site cookies).

To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office, United Kingdom) — https://ico.org.uk — and/or, where applicable, the CNIL (France).

The site may use audience measurement and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or Microsoft Clarity to improve user experience, measure site performance and optimise the services offered.

These optional tools (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity) are loaded only after your consent via the cookie banner. If you refuse, no GA / Meta / Clarity scripts are loaded for analytics.

Regardless of that choice, Litchi Travel records first-party journey events (page view, search, hotel click, payment) on its own servers, without third-party advertising cookies, to measure the booking funnel. These events are not sent to Google or Meta. An anonymous session identifier may be kept in the browser’s session storage for the visit.

Essential technical cookies required for the site to work remain active, including the first-party affiliate cookie (litchi_affiliate) needed to attribute a booking to a partner via an affiliate link for 30 days. This cookie stores only an opaque identifier: no name, email or personal data. It is not used for third-party advertising and is not subject to refusing analytics cookies.
